you. NAME: Stevie AGE: 19+ CONTACT:AIM: Hermionethebusy. Yahoo: CapnSparrowFiend MSN: Steviethegreat05@hotmail.com GoogleChat: Steviethegreat05@gmail.com or PirateCaptainStevie@gmail.com Skype: Err...if you look up Stevie Bonine, I should show up. TIME ZONE: EST. RPG EXPERIENCE: I've been playing since I was probably eight or nine. I started with wolves, moved to horses, eventually jumped to humans. I played as Legolas in my own Lord of the Rings game for a while, pissed around with Fanfiction, got into Harry Potter through Avidgamers and Neopets chatrooms. After awhile, I played Outsiders, then back to Harry Potter. I danced around between wolves, horses, and humans. Eventually I got into Greatestjournal role-playing around 8th grade. (I even role-played with a friend through journals at school. We used to trade every period or so.) It was around 8th grade that I met my exbest friend, Julia B., who had me role-playing characters from a video game. Elder Scrolls, I think. I was Nerevar, she occasionally played Dagoth. We sort of made fun of each other. From THAT spawned a whole other universe called NeoGothica. I have maps somewhere. I ended up playing a serial killer vampire who only killed women and children and a Queen of the Wood Elves. Actually, I seriously played a LOT of people. I was a gypsy and a Queen and a King and a Demon and a werewolf. I mean, really, there was a lot of diversity. When we would go over to her house, we'd have two Word documents open and we'd take turns tagging to both while watching movies or coloring or sleeping. I distinctly remember being awakened via oboe because it was my turn to post. From there, I made a leap into time travel and Demigods by the game that I eventually came to Co-Mod, Lachesis Falling. I had a lot of characters there, but things happened and it eventually closed due to inactivity (even if Aubbeh still firmly believes it isn't dead.) It was sort of a collaborative writing project, but one of the main people who played with us sort of got pregnant and then sort of lost her baby, so she didn't play anymore. And then I'd invited my other friend, Ande, who I met through a Town game (we were pretty much the ONLY two that actually played) to play in LF. But LF kicked it and Ande and I haven't been playing much lately. From there, I jumped GJ/IJ games. I founded Rearranged with Jess and Ande. But Katie and Kristy were the two who helped revamp it the next time and it almost worked out better until I lost interest and joined Anathema, where I Co-Modded until the stress got to me and I backed out. Now, I run my own PSL community, have a solid role-playing 'group' that I rotate into games with, and I'm hoping to join here.
character. FULL NAME: Kade Preston Finch-Fletchley AGE/BIRTHDAY: 17. July 13th, 2005. GENDER: Male. BIRTHPLACE: Liverpool. BLOOD: Half. HOUSE/YEAR:Hufflepuff. Because Kade is so antifight that the hat couldn't really see any better place to put him. WAND: 10 2/5ths inches holly. Firm but springy. The core is a feather from a Snidget. Not only is the snidget RARE, but it was originally used as the snitch for the game of quidditch. How fitting. BOGGART: His family deciding that since he's not really theirs, they don't want him anymore. PATRONUS: Raccoon. SPECIAL SKILLS: Singing, Mandolin playing, photographic memory. QUIDDITCH?: He USED to be a chaser before something happened and he left playing. SEXUAL PREFERENCES: Heterosexual.
PERSONALITY: Kade is pretty straightforward when you actually look at him. He's intense in character, but he's smart and sweet. Sometimes he's aiming for one thing and sometimes he's aiming in the completely opposite direction. He's a lot of fun when he's with his younger brother, Rye, but his mood can change in a second when his sister is around. He's confused by girls, but what guy isn't?
This doesn't keep him from being friends with them and it definitely doesn't keep him from doing the things he loves. Due to pride or some such nonsense, he quit the quidditch team in his sixth year, refusing to play at all while still continuing to practice when no one else was around. And even though he's anti-playing with anyone, that doesn't keep him from seeing the games. He personally enjoys cheering on Addison Weasley! She's one hell of a beater.
When the subject changes to parents, he usually leaves because he hates to talk about his. He hates lying about Justin and Susan, even though they've been insanely nice to take him on as their kid. This has pretty much stunted parent conversations when he's around, and he's grateful for it. While Kade seems a little moody, he's actually extremely nonconfrontational and he'd rather wave the peace sign than get in a fight with someone physically or verbally. This doesn't keep him from being upset, however, and he'll brood on occasion. Despite his lack of confrontational skills, most people know better than to mess with either one of his siblings for fear of what Kade COULD do if the need arose.
FAMILY: Justin Finch-Fletchley and Susan Bones Finch-Fletchley are not Kade's biological parents, but they're more parent than Noel Dorney and Andrew Finch-Fletchley ever were. Andrew was Justin's brother. The two adoptive parents totally took Kade in and brought him up as their own, even though he knew the secret of his past eventually. Rye, Kade's younger cousin by a year, is regarded as his younger brother. Just as ---, his other cousin, is treated as his younger sister. The relationship between Justin, Susan and Kade is minorly rocky. But Rye and Kade get along like best friends.
HISTORY: Noel Dorny was the second eldest of her family comprised of three brothers and a sister. Seeing as she was the oldest girl child of the Dornys, she got whatever she asked for. That's probably why she was sorted into Slytherin. Ridiculously spoiled and bratty, it was hard for the rest of her family (diehard Hufflepuffs) to get along with her. She played around in school. She had fun. She focused on her studies long enough to get the lowest grade that was passing and spent the rest of her time flirting with boys. Noel was 16 when she had her first pregnancy scare. If you asked her, she'd laugh and tell you she didn't regret the abortion. It meant that her chances of having kids again was limited and that meant that she didn't have to worry about protected sex anymore.
Noel toyed with Andrew Finch-Fletchley in her seventh year of school. Sometimes he was distinctly infuriating. Sometimes he was like a drug that she couldn't get enough of. But in the end, he wasn't enough. They moved in together shortly before the war started and she spent the majority of it ordering things by owl or hiding beneath the floorboards when Andrew wasn't yelling at her for being frightened. Truthfully, she never loved him. He was a good fuck and an excellent sparring partner. He was her real live punching bag. And to add insult to injury when she'd found out about her second pregnancy (much to her shock and unamusement), she'd almost run off to get an abortion again. It took everything in Andrew's power not to let her take off. He asked her to marry him and she laughed in his face before spitting out that she'd never liked him in the first place. Even after an off and on three years of more relationship issues than they knew what to do with, they had a product of their troubles.
After moving in with her parents until the baby was born, Noel dwelled on her situation and considered immediate adoption. Wouldn't it be easier to pop the kid out and then hand him over? But her parents had other plans. They made a baby room. They bought furniture, clothes, threw her a party--they made certain their eldest daughter was happy. And when that baby came, she had more help than she ever expected. When it came time for her to have the baby, she realized how frightened she actually was. This part of her was going to consume everything she had. After she pushed her child out, the healer asked her what to name her child. But Noel didn't care. She didn't care about anything else except that her body had just practically been ripped apart and everyone was fussing about the baby. The healers congregated to name the baby for her, but Andew showed up to see the part of him that he'd accidentally created. It wasn't that he hadn't wanted to be there. It was that she hadn't let him be part of her life for the nine months it took her to have the baby. He named her child after his great grandfather. Kade. At first, having Kade was fun. She got loads of attention and gifts and she didn't have to do anything because she was too tired to move. And then they went back to the house where she was expected to care for her kid. That lasted six months and even then, she didn't take much care of him.
Around Kade's seventh month of life, Noel took him to his father's house, dropped him off, and started to leave. Andrew begged her to stay, asked her to be involved in her son's life, but Noel wasn't ready to be a mom and she couldn't handle the strain. Watching her walk away was the last thread for Andrew Finch-Fletchley. As he watched the love of his life leave, his son in his arms, he felt part of him give up. He took care of Kade until he turned one. Most unfortunately, being away from Noel so long caused the most severe kind of heartbreak and he died a few months later from suicide. She'd left him and he'd left his son. In his will, however, Andrew lined out that everything he had was his son's and he entrusted the baby to new parents--his brother, Justin. While Justin certainly didn't approve of what his brother had done, there was no way he was going to let Kade go anywhere else. They set up his crib in the same room as their new child, Rye, and let them keep each other company.
Kade seemed to grow up quickly, just the same with his younger sibling, Rye, and when he turned two, the two boys were gifted with a 'sister', --- Finch-Fletchley. Initially, Kade thought she was fascinating. But as she cried and woke him from naps or stole the attention from him and his 'brother', he felt more and more resentment toward her. If, you know, a two year old can grasp the concept of resentment. He eventually was allowed to play outside by himself and he found solace behind a rock covered in soft moss where the tree bent enough to cover him with cool shade and the sun hit the rock to keep it warm. He could escape to his paradise where his 'sister' couldn't wake him up. Kade, from an extremely young age, was a rather bright child and he knew when to fuss and when to sit and take it. He knew when was okay to cry and when they needed him to sit still. He fussed very little for a child who had been passed from parent to parent to caretakers and Justin and Susan certainly had no complaints. He and Rye were cousins, so they truly didn't look too different from each other. They decided that it would be best to keep it to themselves who his real parents were and they kept the boys calling each other brothers for a very long time.
By the time Kade and Rye were old enough to talk to each other, they'd developed a friendship that comprised of sharing toys and eating dirt together. Rye was a bit smaller than he was, but they got along well, and Kade did his best to take care of his younger brother. They played in the dirt, they chased each other, they knew all the kids on their street and they Certainly they joined plenty of little league activities and worked to be better than each other. More passive-aggressive than his brother, Kade tended to take second place despite his true ability to get first in whatever he was playing. He was always content to grow in the shadow of his brother because that is where his real mother had placed him. It was funny, however, at how content he was to see the grin on Rye's face.
Kade started to show magical ability when he was four. He'd been outside playing with Rye when the plants that they'd put in the ground the day before--tiny, little budded flowers that were barely sprouts--shot up into taller stalks. And then the next day, those same plants grew even more. And then the day after that, the flowers opened. The two played with the flowers until they all died and the plants shot back into the ground to reform properly into actual plants.
When Kade turned eight, Justin and Susan thought it was a good idea to let Kade know who his real parents were. He had a vault of his own at Gringotts with enough money to pay for whatever he could possibly want at seven, and there really was no way of getting past Noel's parents who sent many owls asking about their grandson. After a long conversation, he said he understood, but he packed a bag and took off instead. He left everyone and everything behind to walk three blocks from the house--just to be away from his so-called parents. He thought they cared, but apparently not. When he went back, Rye had a lot of questions, but he couldn't bring himself to let his little brother know that they WEREN'T brothers. So he made up lies.
And it continued to happen for a long time. Every time he left, Rye seemed to think it was something he had done. But the only thing that didn't change over the years was his relationship with his younger brother. His younger sister, however, never got better. For some reason, Kade just didn't get along with her.
And so went their relationship. They did everything together--until his Hogwarts acceptance letter came. They knew what magic was and what was expected of them, but they hadn't dwelled on the idea of another school until they had to. Kade's first understanding of it all was that they didn't want him anymore. Justin and Rye seemed to notice his reluctance the most and it was those two that encouraged him to realize that he wasn't being pushed away from the family but was taking on being a wizard first. He was headed off to be trained to use his magic for good. And he was begged to come home every chance he got. The first time he stepped through the doors, he'd been so nervous they could've knocked him over with a feather. And when he sat on the stool with the sorting hat on his head to tell him which house to go into, he nearly died of confusion. At first, he didn't understand how a hat could talk. And then it seemed to read his mind and understand his insecurities and dwell on them before he had a chance to breathe. Without too much thought, the hat proclaimed him a Hufflepuff and the cheers that swam throughout to crowd made him grin. The first of very few shows of emotion.
His year flew by and he kept his promise to go home every chance he got. Kade sent regular owls to Andrew, Susan, and Rye. Sure, he had sister, but he didn't really care for her. He was a boy and boys didn't care for their sisters unless they had to. Right? He made friends, he grew out of the shadow a bit as an individual and started to bloom. That's right when Rye wiggled his way into the realm of Hogwarts.
It was evident as time went by that Kade and Rye would make it through whatever it may be. And when their little sister was in school, Kade barely paid any more attention to her than he did to most of the other girls her age. He wasn't looking for a conflict, but he wasn't looking for a resolution either. Girls like his sister were disagreeable, and he really didn't care to be around her. Rye, however, was his best friend and Kade made sure to show him everything he'd learned in the past year. Rye inherited all of Kade's notes and they both tried out for quidditch together. Kade made it on the team in his second year, something that didn't exactly matter to him since he didn't play much, but he had an opening spot in his third year and he and his brother played together religiously.
Most of the time Kade spent at school was peaceful and he really never had any issues. A few girlfriends that came as quietly as they left, loud friends that did whatever they wanted, really, and grades that made Justin and Susan smile with satisfaction. But the one thing that never happened was Kade telling Rye the truth about their family. Not only was he terrified of what Rye would do, but he wasn't sure how they would act around each other anymore. And because the only person that didn't know was Rye, considering their little sister heard him talking to Susan once, he learned to be considerably nicer to her so she wouldn't spill the beans.
In his seventh year now, Kade lives for the pitch, but doesn't play due to personal reasons. He watches games and keeps track of what's going on for Bryce in case something happens that looks off. And even though several people have urged him to play again, he's refused over and over again. His focus isn't entirely on school and it isn't entirely on Rye and it isn't entirely on anything else. He's sort of taking it two steps at a time without watching where he's going and people are starting to wonder why.
PHYSICAL: Kade isn't extraordinarily tall, but he isn't short either. With muscles that seem to bulge from his arms when he's helping around the castle or working out for his eventual career in Quidditch, regardless of his current reasons for not playing. He has dark brown eyes that seem to reflect his internal feelings a lot and a smile that can light up the room if the right circumstances occur. He's not afraid to let people know what he's thinking!
He usually looks well dressed and neat, as opposed to some of his friends. And he pulls his hair back so that it doesn't get in his way most of the time, despite the fact that his last girlfriend loved it down! PLAYED BY:Steven Strait
